The Elusive 30″ Dunedin Trout
Posted on 16 December 2008
It was a foggy morning, no wind and I could see the sun starting to come through the clouds. I was able to get the last hour of the falling tide and things were just looking really fishy.
I started throwing my favorite bait of all time the Exude RT Slug. First fish of the day was a monster 30.5″ trout!!! Nice way to start the day…huh? I must have hit it on the nose because it got hammered immediately. This fish jumped completely out of the water on the first display and then gave me a head shaking tail walk that I will always remember.
I ended up catching a few upper slot reds too.
Here are the pictures that came out somewhat decent. Enjoy!
