A quick three hour tour…
Posted on 22 September 2008
Dave took Dave D. and Kevin out for a quick three hour tour of the intracoastal waterway and ran into some more redfish. Thay started out by getting live bait which consisted of pinfish, shad, and baby mullet. Right away the live pinfish produced a 26″ red. Then Dave D. hooked up with and landed a 23″ red. A few more fish later the bite slowed down, so they decided to move to another spot. Immediately a multi spotted red ate Kevin’s live shad. Then something bigger moved into the area. Dave spotted a small pod of medium sized tarpon rolling on the surface. They attempted to catch one on topwater plugs and a live mullet. No luck. A few minutes later the sky turned very dark and they were run off by a wall of rain.
